The new Mercedes-Benz S-Class retains its title as the undisputed leader of intelligence, power, performance and luxury. The top-of-the-range model takes another big step towards autonomous driving and elevates Intelligent Drive to the next level. Its precise attention to detail is seen within every corner of the car, from the wood-leather steering wheel to the crystal-look tail lamps.
The new S-Class offers a new level of comfort for the driver and passengers. Thanks to the world-first ENERGIZING comfort control feature, the driver and passengers can now link various comfort systems such as climate control and massage functions. The new feature also allows customers to configure specific wellness set-ups to suit their mood and enhance physical comfort and performance on the road.
The new Mercedes-AMG S 63 4MATIC+ and S 65
The high-performance models of the new Mercedes-AMG S 63 4MATIC+ and S 65 add impressive power to the top-of-the-range collection. An updated front apron with jet wing underscore the more expressive appearance of both S-Class models. At the rear, the new apron and modified tailpipe trim add distinctive design focuses.
The new Mercedes-AMG S 63 4MATIC+ has been transformed with a new engine, new transmission, new all-wheel drive, new exterior and interior design, thereby dramatically honing the driving dynamics and looks further. It is equipped with the new AMG 4.0-litre V-8 Biturbo engine with cylinder deactivation, which replaces the previous 5.5-litre V-8 Biturbo engine. The new engine puts out 450 kW (612 hp) and thus exactly 20 kW (27 hp) more than the preceding model.
With a sprint time of 3.5 seconds from zero to 100 km/h, the performance luxury sedan is on par with full-blooded sports cars. The AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 9?speed sports transmission replaces the previous 7-speed gearbox, to enable even more agile response times. The fully variable AMG Performance 4MATIC+ all-wheel-drive system provides optimal traction.
The S 63 4MATIC+ is fitted as standard with the controllable AMG Performance exhaust system to achieve an even more emotionally appealing sound experience. The infinitely adjustable flaps modulate the exhaust note authentically and directly. The flaps open or close depending on the selected AMG DYNAMIC SELECT driving mode, but can also be controlled individually with a separate button in the AMG DRIVE UNIT on the centre console. In the "Comfort" and "Sport" modes, the low-frequency sound typical of a V-8 emphasises comfort. In "Sport+" it is of a much more emotionally appealing nature.
AMG TRACK PACE App
Motorsport enthusiasts can record numerous vehicle data and lap times on the race track with AMG Track Pace in the S 63 4MATIC+. Based on the data, drivers are able to analyse their driving style with precision and can use the insights gained to improve their lap times.
Exclusive exterior design
Modern luxury in the new S-Class is affirmed with the highest quality materials and uncompromising workmanship. All models are fitted with a new radiator grille: the versions with six and eight-cylinder engines sport three twin louvres as well as vertical strips with a high-gloss black finish. The V-12 model variants are fitted with additional chrome-finish vertical strips in the radiator grille. Seven new light-alloy wheels with diameters between 17 and 20 inches have been introduced on the new model.
MULTIBEAM LED headlamps and ULTRA RANGE High Beam turn night into day. The ULTRA RANGE main beams produce the maximum light intensity permitted by law, which results in the brightness of the main beams remaining above the reference value of 1 lux over a distance of more than 650 metres. For the driver, this means a clear improvement of the already excellent lighting performance of current MULTIBEAM LED systems. The Adaptive High-Beam Assist Plus permanently activates the main beams without dazzling surrounding traffic.
